5 Days Budget Safari – Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Materuni

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha or directly from Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport. After a short briefing, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive across the vast savannahs, where you’ll also spot giraffes, zebras, lions, and many bird species. In the late afternoon, continue to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, set out for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Pass through the Ngorongoro highlands with scenic views before descending into the endless plains of the Serengeti. Spend the day exploring the park on game drives, searching for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, elephants, and the great herds of wildebeest and zebras. Witness the magical Serengeti sunset before heading to your lodge/camp in Central Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

After a morning game drive and an early lunch, you will proceed to Ngorongoro. Our professional and experienced driver will explain the wildlife and the natural beauty of Tanzania en route. You will spend the night on the crater rim, with dinner and an overnight stay at the Ngorongoro Simba Campsite.

Rise early for a drive back towards Ngorongoro, where you will descend 600 meters into the crater for a spectacular game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater, often called “Africa’s Garden of Eden,” is home to an incredible density of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, wildebeest, zebras, and the rare black rhino. After an exciting safari and picnic lunch inside the crater, drive back to Moshi and drop off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.

The tour guide will pick you up at The Better Inn after breakfast and take you on a beautiful path leading to the waterfall, which crosses valleys and hills covered by a tropical rainforest, past coffee, banana, avocado, and other tree species. You will get local lunch prepared by the Chagga community. Later, you will drive back to Moshi Town.
