Mission
To connect every Wild Gaze safari with the communities that share our roads and landscapes – through the Wild Gaze Charity Foundation, respectful school visits, and practical support coordinated with local leaders.
Safari with purpose
Wild Gaze is not only about wildlife – we build real connections with schools and villages along the routes we drive every week.
Wild Gaze in the community
From Iringa we operate southern circuit safaris through landscapes where communities live beside the parks – often with long walks to school and classrooms that welcome practical support.
Wild Gaze Safaris and the Wild Gaze Charity Foundation visit schools on or near our corridors. We deliver supplies, share meals with pupils when appropriate, and make space for travellers to greet students and teachers with dignity – not as a show, but as part of how we work.
Why we do this
Mission
To connect every Wild Gaze safari with the communities that share our roads and landscapes – through the Wild Gaze Charity Foundation, respectful school visits, and practical support coordinated with local leaders.
Vision
A southern Tanzania where tourism strengthens rural education and human dignity – so that safaris to Ruaha, Nyerere, Mikumi and beyond benefit the people who live there, not only the parks we visit.
How we work
Accountability in the office, realism in the field – the same team that plans your safari plans these visits.
We identify stops that fit your timing – a short visit, a meal, or handing over items the school has requested.
Our guides facilitate visits that respect teachers, culture, and children’s safety – with clear guidance on photography and behaviour.
Optional, never forced. We handle logistics and introductions; you bring goodwill or foundation support if you choose.
Project gallery
Photography from Wild Gaze outreach – grouped by what happens on the ground, not one long grid with labels on every frame.
In the field
Rural schools along our southern routes – where a short stop, a greeting, or basic supplies can mean a great deal to pupils and teachers working in demanding conditions.
In the field
Respectful visits are not staged for cameras – they are conversations, shared food, and human contact arranged with school leaders and our Iringa team.
In the field
Between park gates and lodge transfers, our crews carry foundation supplies and make planned community stops – the same routes your safari follows.
For travellers
A portion of your quoted safari already supports community programmes through our foundation and field visits.
Tell us when you enquire or book – we match your route with a school visit where timing and local agreements allow.
Our team briefs you on cultural etiquette and what pupils and teachers are comfortable with.
For larger contributions, connect with the Wild Gaze Charity Foundation for directed projects and reporting.
Talk to our Iringa team about wildlife, comfort, and the community stops that fit your journey.
